...fun...

last weekend was the day...
me and my buddies had planned a meet...it had been waiting to happen since a loong loong tym...
but something or the other put it off...

me and moose were supposed to meet up with fro at bandra for lunch...at 130...
fro, the fucker that he is woke up at 130!!!

i had told him the previous nyt, if he makes us wait, he will have to pay..hahaha >:P

and the fucker did make us wait..he turned up at 335!!!
and what place would be open at 335 in the afternoon???

fro suggested cafe basilico at palinaka...
sed he had been to the one in south bombay and had loved it..so we agreed...glad that we did...:D

we went in...but the tables inside all were taken...though there were only couples inside, they took up tables for four...buggers cant sit on tables for twos...#$%#$@#

we had to sit outside...that's exactly the place where we sat...our table...
so many flies..damn...
the service was so sloppy!!!
took about 10 minutes before someone came to take the order...

food was ok...
they sed the food wud take some tym..so we ordered drinks first...
me and moose had mochas...which was one of the best i have tasted so far...beats them baristas and ccds...
fro had a currant cooler...
had to wait 10 minutes for the main course to arrive...
me had ordered conchiglie pasta...
it had roasted zucchini, garlic, peppers, parmesan cheese, sun-dried tomatoes dabbed with olive oil...
whyl moose had mediterranean grilled chicken...
grilled chicken breast with mashed spinach and potatoes with cumin chilly sauce...
and fro..lamb periperi...it wasnt spicy at all considering that the peri peri is one of the more stingy ones..they served it with some mashed potatoes and rice cakes...
they sed the grilled chicken was the best...they were trying to tempt me as i have gone veggie since more than a year...:D
it seems their non veg menu is something..but they need to improvise on the veg offerings...
since my pasta wasn't upto the mark...not, for the price that you pay..the price was expensive..the main course starts at 275...

well...the best was yet to come...the dessert!!!
me had tiramisu...




moose had philadelphia cheesecake...


whyl fro was happy with hot goooey chocolate with icecream...

the desserts were really fantabulous...the cheesecake was so heavy..just as it was supposed to be :P
the hot gooey choc with icecream was good..and the tiramisu..heavenly...
the total damage came to 500 per head...and we made fro payup..hahahaha
he doesnt get away with making us wait for him..

anyways..my review : 2.5/5...slacky service...plus, the flies.. >.<
and for the price that you are paying, you expect a bit more...

then we left for vashi..since the rest of the gang was gonna meet up there...metup with ani at wadala on the way..fro got an earful from her for making her wait...hahaha
the three of us used to meet up in between...but it had been more than a year since the whole gang had met up...had fun..catching up on old tyms...and the new ones too..since some of us havent been online since ages...and that's usually the couples..hehe...

had a dutch truffle and a fruity swirl there...
really, seems like the day was an official binge day...:D
