...surprise...
listening to : silk route - humsafar
it was baggy's bday...i called up T to ask about the plan...he sed let's give him a surprise..
he was like let's go to his house at 12 with a cake in hand...we called up rajni(not his real name...it's his nik..even T has one...:D)...he had a second shift that day...so even he could make it...so it was decided...
i went to T's house in the evening...but as T had a ganpati at his house...i had to wait till the aarti got over...it was 10 already..then T had his dinner...
we were contemplating on finding a cake shop...finally we found that croissants was open in chembur..i selected a caramel and chocolate cake...then we drove to dadar in T's car..collected rajni..

there was still 5 minutes to 12...so we drove around in shivaji park...we encountered one crazy phenomena there...the half that was closer to the sea was receiving big drops of rain and the other half which was towards the city was dry..hehehe
when the five minutes were up we went on to baggy's building..the three of us tiptoed to his house without making a noise...and rang the bell..when the clock struck 12...:)
his jaw dropped on seeing us...:D
he never expected such a surprise..hehehe
we quickly ;) finished the cake, made him wear his "man u" jersey that T had got for him from the uk...(T works there..)...and another achievement..we made baggy step out of his house without him shaving his stubble off ...:D
this guy is very particular about some things...actually hez a perfect definition of a gentleman!!!
we drove down to ayub's for having some rolls...
for those not in the know, ayub's makes some of the best rolls in town..the place is at kalaghoda and is open till 2-3 in the morning...
all of us had paneer tikka and mushroom tikka rolls each...extra spicy for me..heheh
then T wanted to go to lalbagh to visit the ganpati there...the darshan was over in 15 minutes flat... =)
and all this while we werent a bit surprised that bhikku didnt call to wish baggy...:D
it was almost 315 am...
"what now?" asked T...baggy suggested we drive around..in the meantime i tried calling up bhikku...
he dint pick up..i asked rajni to call next..he didnt pick up again...next i tried again..this time he cut my call...at that point T suggested let's go on a looong drive to pune!!! :D
bcoz that's where bhikku lives..he works there..
just to go kick his ass!!!
so it was decided..we picked up T's camera from his house en-route without waking anyone in his house...we both had promised to return in the night... :D
and then the drive was on...
here are some more pics from T's kodak...wish it was a sony... :D
when he finally woke up he had to confirm twice that we were really in pune...:D
a lil about the characters involved in the episode above...
rajni aka hemant...he was named so because he liked to imitate rajnikant :D..the "flirt" of our diplo years..
bhiku aka gaurang...named so because that was his favourite character from that gangster movie satya...he was the comedian of our class...still is..2 minutes in his company is all it takes for him to make a person laugh...
baggy aka saurabh..named so bcoz of his surname which is "bagkar"...the most innocent and pure hearted guy i ever met in my life...
mr. T..aka bhopu aka tushar...:D
niknamed so bcoz he was the singer of our class..got an awesome talent..his favourite is kishore da...
what's that???my nikname???
mallu...:D
needless to say one of the most memorable roadtrips ever...with people whom i have known for close to a decade now...=)
